Prestige MissionsHome
Prestige Missions give developed characters harder fights. They use the usual destroy-mission enemies with extra strength, so you have tougher encounters for your Insight, Adaptive gear and Prestige progression.

Difficulty and Prestige

Terminals have the usual mission difficulty option and a separate mission Prestige selector from P0 to P5. Difficulty chooses from the terminal's normal missions. Prestige adds extra power to those enemies.

You can use Prestige on top of the highest normal difficulty. Anyone can select it, regardless of their own Prestige rank, including the higher tiers.

Choosing a tier

P0 gives normal missions. P1-P5 use the same creature types, but with stronger stats, more damage and better accuracy. Each tier makes them tougher.

A fully developed Prestige 1 character can still get overwhelmed by Prestige 3 enemies. Pick a tier your stats and equipment can handle, then try higher ones as you get stronger.

Insight XP and credits

Higher tiers give more Insight XP and credits. If you can handle the fights, they're a way to level Insight faster and put your Insight / Prestige and Adaptive Weapons progress to use.

Credit rewards will keep getting adjusted during alpha, with the rest of the economy in mind.

Changing the filters

Each offered mission saves its tier and scaling. Changing the filters won't change the enemies or rewards of a mission you've already accepted. Refresh the terminal to get new offers with your new settings.

Other terminal changes

  • You can carry up to four terminal missions at once, with at most one active bounty.
  • You can choose destroy-mission difficulty within the terminal's available spawn range.
  • You can request missions by direction to plan where you're heading.

Plans for higher Prestige missions

As alpha goes on, I want to make dedicated missions for high Prestige characters, with new enemies, objectives and different kinds of encounters. For now, the system uses tougher versions of the usual terminal mobs. It gives us something to play and build on while that content is being developed.

Professions & Combat has more about equipment bonuses and defenses.

Enemy strength and rewards may change during alpha testing.
