A Smuggler's Life and Smuggler Runs are playable in alpha. The main story leads to an operations base of your own, contacts and repeatable jobs.
Getting started
You need to be a Master Smuggler. To begin, look for Loquito Quickshoot, a Rodian Smuggler outside the Coronet Spaceport on Corellia.
The story
Quickshoot gets you involved with SpyNet, spice dealers, fixers and other criminals. You'll investigate, use Persuade and Intimidate, and sometimes fight your way through a problem.
You'll keep meeting some of the same characters, rescue a contact and choose who to trust. As the story goes on, you start building a criminal network of your own.
Your operations base
Following the story with Zapaya earns you access to your operations base. Its contacts and follow-up jobs continue your work as a Lord or Lady of the Underworld.
You keep access after logging out. Leaders who qualify can also get a premium black swoop from Giuseppe.
Smuggler Runs
Smuggler Runs are repeatable jobs from your criminal contacts. You meet a supplier, buy a shipment of spice, take it to a buyer on another planet and report back to Zapaya.
You get waypoints for the destination and the nearby spaceport to help plan the trip. Suppliers and buyers are out in the world, with different appearances and personalities.
Deals can go wrong. A supplier can turn hostile, you can get ambushed along the way, or a buyer can try to take the shipment by force. Your contacts can add more to those risks as your operation develops.
Once you finish a run, a return speeder offers a quick trip back. You can keep doing Runs after the main story is over.
Insight and alpha testing
Supported story stages and missions give Adventure Insight XP, so you also make Insight / Prestige progress while playing the Smuggler quests.
The story and Runs are already in place. Rewards, enemy difficulty, attack chances and progression will be adjusted with feedback during alpha.
